The Historic Environment Image Resource (HEIR) Project, directed by Sally Crawford and Katharina Ulmschneider, was discussed in the June issue (number 327) of Current Archaeology. On page 63, in the section 'Sliding Away', Christopher Catling, the magazine's contributing editor, highlights the project's work preserving 35mm slide collections for archaeologists as well as mentioning the other images in the School of Archaeology's archive database.

The HEIR project digitises 35mm slide collections for free, adding them to an online image database, which can be found at https://heiroxford.wordpress.com
