Over the next two days the annual Graduate Archaeology at Oxford (GAO) conference is being held, at Merton College, Oxford. The theme is Influence of Movement and Conflict on the Past. Papers seek to identify the effects of movement and conflict on the past through a variety of methodologies. In addition, they engage with, and contribute to, ongoing discourses of cultural entanglement and hybridity, of movement and identity, along with the role that conflict and forced movement has in these processes.
The keynote address will be delivered by Dr Martin Carver, York University, on 10th March.
