This December the School is celebrating 70 years of of innovation and impact at the Research Laboratory for Archaeology and the History of Art (RLAHA).
The celebrations will begin at 4.30pm on Thursday 11 December, with the Annual Archaeometry Lecture which this year will be given by two esteemed colleagues - Professor Chris Gosden and Professor Mark Pollard - to be followed by a drinks reception in the Maplethorpe Building, St Hugh's College.
On Friday 12 December, for day two, join us for A History of Archaeology at Oxford workshop starting at 8.30am till 6pm at the HB Allen Centre, Keble College. Talks will focus on histories of archaeology in Oxford, looking back and looking forward. A range of archaeologists from across Oxford institutions will speak on diverse topics, ranging from museum perspectives to developer-funded archaeology in the city and beyond.
