Ancient chicken remains reveal the origins of virulence in Marek’s disease virus

A team of researchers including - Evangelos Dimopoulos, Ophélie Lebrasseur, Sophy Charlton, Ashleigh Haruda, Kristina Tabbada, Gabrielle Cass Baumberg, Greger Larson and Laurent A. F. Frantz of our Palaeobarn project demonstrates the power of ancient DNA approaches to trace the molecular basis of virulence in economically relevant pathogens.
