The ‘Barbarians Prehistory’ seminar series focuses on the archaeology of the Mesolithic through the Iron Age. While many talks concentrate on Britain and northwest Europe the seminar series is not restricted to any geographic region. This year speakers will present on research that is taking place in Eurasia, southwest Asia, South America and Africa. Nor is the series specific to a single specialism, with talks drawing on everything from bioarchaeology and materials, to archaeological theory and ethnographic studies. Our audience is also broad and we aim to attract students, staff, researchers and interested parties from across (and outside of) the Department.
