Catherine Barker

Catherine provides executive support to the Head of School, Professor Damian Robinson, and the Head of Administration and Finance, Victoria Robson. She also supports the HAF with the effective management of the school’s governance and committee structures, coordinating meetings, deadlines, communications and key documentation, as well as taking minutes.

Catherine joined the School of Archaeology in August 2026, having previously worked in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. She brings over 20 years’ experience in school management, administration and PA roles across schools, publishing and two Oxford colleges.

Catherine works Monday to Thursday, with her usual working hours being 8.00am–4.00pm. She is normally based in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and works from home on Wednesdays.
