Raju Kumar is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in infrared-radiofluorescence(IR-RF) dating and luminescence imaging. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Physics at the Technical University of Denmark. His research focus was centred around the understanding of luminescence processes in feldspars, using state-of-the-art techniques such as excitation-emission spectroscopy, infrared photoluminescence (IRPL), and IR-RF imaging; this work has significantly enhanced the current understanding of feldspar luminescence physics, and the results are anticipated to play a crucial role in the further development of luminescence dating techniques.
Before Ph.D., he obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Optics and Photonics from the International School of Photonics, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kerala, India.
